I'd love to tell you I'm a visionary or an artist. Truth is, I'm neither. I'm just a husband, a dad, and a Realtor for more than 30 years who got tired of paying for someone else's dream.
RV parks have their place. You pay thousands every year for a space you'll never own. You improve someone else's property at your expense, then leave it behind when it's time to go home.
Being a native Tennessean, I've learned that some folks around East Tennessee hold a special place in your heart. The same can be said for a few RV parks. They're not just campgrounds...they're live reality shows, and you just might be the next star. You've got the occasional heated domestic debate, a surprise police visit now and then, colorful decorating styles that probably deserve their own HGTV episode, and every once in a while, the all night sounds of the wild...or maybe it's just your neighbor. Heck, some weekends feel like a Jerry Springer vacation, where every campsite has its own personality...whether you wanted it to or not.
Now, I'm having a little fun because not every RV park is like that. I've met some wonderful people and made some great friends over the years. Truth be told, I've even enjoyed a little of the excitement myself.
But it just wasn't where I felt most at home.
So I decided to build something different.
Not another RV lot.
A place where every improvement belonged to me.
A place where I could enjoy the Smokies without wondering what the neighbors were doing.
A place I'd actually be proud to call my own.
